There is just something about Patty Moreno—something spiritually rich and emotionally intriguing—that grabs at your heart. I’ve had the privilege of knowing, working with, and observing Patty in “ministry action” for many years, long enough to see the way she has allowed God to shape her brokenness into a beauty that breathes hope into other shattered lives. Patty has a way with words, to be sure. But even deeper than the wordsmith she most certainly is, Patty is a “soul-smith” whose presence and words, both written and spoken, help re-form into new dimensions of grace the souls that pain and disappointment have flattened. This hurting world needs the voice of my soul-smith friend, Patty Moreno.

I had the privilege of hosting Patty Moreno as the main speaker for ZOE Women’s Conference 2018. Patty came ready to serve and love on every woman who crossed her path. During pre-service prayer Friday night, I looked over next to me and saw Patty lying face down crying out to God to move in both her own life and in the lives of the women attending. I was so moved and inspired by her humility and vulnerability in that moment and throughout the entire weekend. Patty communicates God’s love and truth with such passion and creativity. She a gifted preacher, teacher, and mentor. I have known Patty for over a decade and have seen her walk through some very difficult times and can honestly say that what she preaches on stage she lives out on a daily basis. She is a true warrior, full of wisdom, character and matriarch of faith. She embodies what a true Proverbs 31 woman is. Patty truly blessed us by coming and speaking at our conference. As the women’s pastor I was blessed by her encouragement and mentorship. Patty Moreno is a leader worth following and a true hero to me!

Patty does more than just speak from her heart. She somehow manages to make every person in the room believe she is speaking straight to their heart, with the word of encouragement they desperately need at that moment. Her love for Jesus resonates through every message she brings, making those who hear her walk away wanting to know and love Jesus like she does. She is by far the most popular and most requested speaker I have brought in.

Our Triune God gifts a variety of people to teach and encourage the Body of Christ including women (Acts 2: 17-18). One of these gifted women is Patty Moreno. Every time I have had the privilege to hear Patty preach I have been instructed, enlightened and inspired. Not only are her words anchored in Scripture they are delivered with deep passion for Jesus and the stamp of an honest disciple who, like most followers of Jesus, struggle to follow our Lord to our fullest. I believe that Patty will be used by our God to continue to touch many lives through her words, whether spoken or written, in the coming days, for His Glory.

I have personally observed Patty’s, heart, passion and desire for broken people to connect with Christ and His people in meaningful and significant relationship. I believe Jesus has used the brokenness of her own Spiritual Journey to minister and lead others in a balanced and Christ centered way. I also have observed the gift of teaching and public speaking as I have served with her. In both small group settings and preaching in front of a thousand people she brings the truth of scripture along with a personal passion that is not often encountered. Patty speaks to both the head and the heart in an encouraging and challenging way that glorifies Christ and brings the audience to a place of desiring to take the next step in their life journey. Anyone having opportunity to read, or listen to Patty communicate should take opportunity to hear the heart of this saint as she uses her own story to bring glory to Christ.

We had Patty Moreno speak at our women’s conference in October of 2016. She brought a fresh, timely word that impacted our women greatly, and is still bringing freedom into women’s lives today. She spoke with such vulnerability, and it opened so many hearts to receive what God had for them that weekend. Patty is so real and down to earth that she can connect to every woman in any room. She spoke in our Sunday morning services as well and she brought such a clear revelation from the scripture, it enhanced the church wide prayer focus in such a meaningful way. She conveys God’s love, mercy, and grace in such a clear and unique manner, it brings a deeper understanding of who God is and the beautiful gifts he has to bestow on his people.

I’ve had the privilege of hearing Patty speak several times. Patty has a way of telling a story and painting a picture that makes the listener feel as if the experience is happening to them. The passion she has for letting the world know what God is capable of doing through brokenness is remarkable . She makes crying out to Jesus through our pain look attractive and she ignites a fire in the soul of her reader that reminds them to wait expectantly for God to do what only He can do.

In a word, the Lord speaks into my life through Patty Moreno by imparting PERSPECTIVE. When tragedy, trial or even triumph occur in a life, perspective is most often the first thing we lose. It’s also the number one thing we need in times such as these. Patty Moreno’s greatest gift is imparting perspective, God-given, God-directed, Bible-based PERSPECTIVE. Patty’s ability to take life experiences and see them through the lens of Scripture reveals Father, Son and Holy Spirit as advocate, redeemer and light of this dark world no matter what.

I first met Patty in a workshop at a Ladies Conference, and was compelled to have her speak at our next Ladies Retreat. Patty came and shared her story and the words God had poured into her for us. She allowed the Holy Spirit to move in and through her to touch each one deeply. Her love for Lord and our ladies could be seen in her real and genuine spirit.

Patty has a gift to serve those whose hearts have been shattered by this world and has been a welcome communicator at our weekend services on many occasions. Patty has a heart to grow and share her faith with all who will listen.
